Oil painting on a 16”x20” stretched canvas of The Zugspitze located in Germany.
Painting with frame is 21 1/4” tall and 25 1/4 inches wide. Frame is new and black in color with antiqued details. There's a wire hanger on the back for easy hanging.
For this painting I used a photograph that my brother and his wife took while they were visiting Germany. As I have never seen this firsthand I did use a tad of artistic freedom using a couple different photographs and angles to compose the painting.
A brief bit of information on this amazing place….
The Zugspitze is 9,718 feet above sea level and is the highest peak of the Wetterstein Mountains and highest mountain in Germany. It is located south of the town of Garmisch which is near the Germany/Austrian border.
