Wood burned cardinal on a live edge birch tree/branch slice.
This birch slice is about 15 inches high and about 5 1/4 inches wide and about 3/4 inch thick.
This is a cardinal sitting on a tree branch which was burned onto this birch tree/branch slice. A couple coats of varnish was applied to help seal the wood and to help prevent the birch paper bark from coming off as easy. Also, a sawtooth hanger was added to the back for easy hanging.
